An employee was using a metal rod to dislodge a grain blockage from the outside of a grain bin withdraw chute. When the blockage cleared, the rod twisted down and contacted the drag conveyor below. The rod was then pushed against the chute and pinched the employee's hand resulting in amputation of the ring finger and a contusion on the middle finger.

Employees were trying to unload a grain bin. The unload holes were plugged up, so they cut a hole in the side to drain the bin. One of the employees stepped on a nearby U-trough auger and his left foot went through a part of the auger. The auger caught and lacerated his foot.
